Privacy policy
Last updated 7 October 2026
The short version
There are no user accounts and nothing to buy. The numbers you generate never leave your browser, and we hold no personal data about you ourselves. The site is funded by third-party advertising, which sets its own cookies. That is the whole picture; the detail follows.
Who we are
Blue Skua LLC operates numberbuffet.com ("Number Buffet"). For data-protection purposes we are the controller of the limited personal data described below. Contact: support@blueskua.com.
What we collect
Numbers you generate — not collected
Generators run in your browser using JavaScript. Parameters, generated values and rendered images are never transmitted to us. Settings are kept in the page URL so links are shareable, which means they exist only in your browser history and in any link you choose to share.
Accounts and payments — none
There is no sign-up, no login and no paid tier, so we hold no account records, no email addresses and no payment data of any kind. If you email us, we hold only that correspondence.
Server logs
Cloudflare processes requests on our behalf and logs technical data including IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp, for security, abuse prevention and diagnostics. Retention is governed by Cloudflare's own policies.
Browser storage
We use localStorage for one thing: your light/dark theme preference. It stays on
your device, is readable only by this site, and is never sent to us. Clearing site data removes
it. Your advertising-consent choice is recorded by Google's consent management platform, not by
us.
Advertising
We show ads through Google AdSense. Google and its partners may set cookies or use similar technologies to serve and measure ads, including personalised ads based on your prior activity. Google's use of advertising cookies is described at policies.google.com/technologies/ads, and you can adjust what you see at myadcenter.google.com.
If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you will be asked for consent before advertising cookies are set. The request is presented by Google's certified consent management platform, which records your choice and signals it to advertising vendors under the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. We neither make nor store that decision. You can change or withdraw it at any time through Cookie choices in the footer, which reopens the same dialog. Non-personalised ads may still be shown where you decline, as they do not rely on profiling you.
Legal bases
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on:
- Legitimate interests — to keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
- Consent — for personalised advertising and any non-essential cookies.
Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with the processors that make the site work: Cloudflare (hosting) and Google (advertising, and the consent management platform that records your advertising choices). Each operates under its own terms and, where required, a data-processing agreement.
Retention
We keep no records of our own beyond email correspondence, which is kept for as long as it is useful for support. Server logs are retained under Cloudflare's own policies. Browser storage persists until you clear it.
International transfers
Cloudflare and Google operate globally, so data may be processed outside your country, including in the United States. Transfers out of the UK or EEA rely on the safeguards those providers maintain, such as Standard Contractual Clauses or an applicable adequacy decision.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. California residents additionally have rights to know, delete, correct and opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by the CCPA.
To exercise any right, email support@blueskua.com. Since we hold no account records, in most cases there is nothing of yours for us to retrieve or delete. We will respond within one month.
If you are in the UK you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office; in the EEA, to your national supervisory authority.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We will update the date at the top when this policy changes. Material changes will be announced on the site.
